Danny Ciampa, the artist behind the Oracle Odyssey, began studying visual arts when he was 22 years old at the University of Stony Brook on Long Island, New York. His main focus and interest was creating a series of stories, painted illustrations, graphical maps and models, themed on mythological fantasy, which he eventually trademarked as the Oracle Odyssey. He later moved on to achieve certificates in graphic design from Hendricks Design Institute. Soon after, Danny enrolled in the illustration and graphic arts program at the University of Farmingdale.

By 2001 he graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Visual Communications. In the fall of that year he set out as a full time graphic artist and designer for various companies. He eventually changed careers and began working as a mural artist and decorative painter, which soon led him to working positions as a picture designer and scenic artist for many theaters in Manhattan and Long Island. Over the years his fantasy illustrations entered numerous art shows and galleries, including Lunacon and Icon Science Fiction conventions. In 2003, Ciampa Studios was incorporated with specializations in creative murals, faux finishes, commercial window painting, and airbrushing foam sculptures and clothing apparel for themed events. Danny began teaching his own Fantasy Illustration course at the Art League of Long Island in Huntington New York. In 2006, he became accepted as a union member with the United Scenic Artists, I.A.T.S.E local 829. Today he continues production and development on the Oracle Odyssey for later publication while working as a professional scenic artist and painter for the major motion picture industry.
